Electromagnetic flow meter flow transmitter is an instrument that measures the flow rate of conductive fluid based on the electromotive force induced when the conductive fluid passes through an external magnetic field. The main components of the sensor are: measuring tube, electrode, excitation coil, iron core and yoke shell. The product is mainly used to measure the volume flow in conductive liquids and slurries in closed pipelines, including highly corrosive liquids such as acids, alkalis, and salts.

 

The insertion type is an electromagnetic flow sensor for large pipe diameters. The sensor is inserted radially from the pipe opening to measure the local flow velocity to calculate the flow rate. The measurement error is larger than that of ordinary instruments, but the price is cheap and it is suitable for control systems.

 

General-purpose electromagnetic flow meters are used in metallurgy, petrochemical, papermaking, textile, water supply and drainage, sewage treatment, and general electromagnetic flowmeters in industrial fields such as medicine, food, biology and fine chemicals, and are the main type of electromagnetic flowmeters. There is a range requirement for the conductivity of the measured medium, which generally cannot exceed the upper and lower limits.

 

The explosion-proof type is used in places with strong atmosphere. Due to the large energy of the excitation current, the explosion-proof type is still the main type at present.

 

Hygienic electromagnetic flowmeters used in industries such as medicine, food, and biochemistry must meet the relevant hygiene requirements in terms of regular bacteria removal and easy disassembly and cleaning.

 

The submersible version is used for sensors installed below ground and can withstand short periods of water immersion.

 

The submersible electromagnetic flowmeter is used to measure the flow of free water surface free flow in open channels or partially filled underground channels. The sensor is at the lower part of the open channel closure baffle, and works under long-term immersion in water.
